Girls equipment guide

The girls game is played with goggles and a mouthguard, not helmets and pads. The list is short, and the stick rules matter.

Required

Every girls player needs

Goggles. Must meet the ASTM F3077 standard for women's lacrosse eyewear. Look for the SEI certification mark.
Mouthguard. Required at every practice and game.
Stick. A girls lacrosse stick, which has a shallower pocket than a boys stick. A youth complete stick is the right first stick.
Cleats. Soccer cleats work fine. No metal spikes.

Optional and position gear

Nice to have

Headgear. Optional in the girls game. If you choose it, it must meet the ASTM F3137 standard.
Lightweight gloves. Optional, and welcome in cold-weather spring practices.
Goalie gear. Goalies wear a helmet, chest protector, throat guard, padded gloves, and leg protection.

PLACEHOLDER. Confirm and document: does the program keep loaner gear or run a gear swap, and does the program provide goalie equipment? Common practice, needs board confirmation.
